The Bend design philosophy has always been to design pieces that are equally as beautiful as they are functional. We take control of the entire process from product design to development and finally to our customers.

HANDCRAFTED

All of our products are made from handcrafted wires. These wires are formed through a method of shaping by hand and then connecting them by spot welding, a process we refer to as “bending”. While the designs are easy on the eye, the bending process is complex and intricate. Together, the bends achieve the perfect combination between structural support, comfort and functionality.

COMMERCIAL GRADE

All of our various finish and material options are commercial grade. Any chair, table or accessory from Bend will stand up to the wear and tear of commercial use to make sure that our pieces age gracefully with your business. We are certified for BIFMA (Business + Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association), a formal test conducted by an independent third party to review construction and weight capacity. In other words, our products are built like a buffalo. Next to this, all of our products contribute to LEED certification due to sustainable choices in our production process.

CUSTOMIZABLE

INDOOR & OUTDOOR

Most Bend products are made of steel, hand shaped and spot welded into the products that you know and love. The metal is sandblasted to wipe away any imperfections on the surface. To make the products even more sustainable and suitable for outdoor environments, we use galvanization. Though our products are very durable, the lifespan of the finish can vary in relation to the environmental conditions and type of use they are used in. The furniture should be wiped clean after rain or exposure to moisture. All powder coated pieces from the collection are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

COASTAL ENVIRONMENTS

Climates with high levels of humidity, such as coastal environments, and/or constant moisture from rain or sea spray can be harsh for outdoor furniture. For these types of environments, our products can be constructed using stainless steel 316. Stainless steel 316 is a combination of iron, chromium, nickel, manganese and copper, that stands up to corrosion and degradation in moisture heavy climates. This upgrade is the best way to keep the Goods looking the best for generations.

SUSTAINABLE & RESPONSIBLE

Our products are created to be timeless, not only by design but also because by the quality of their construction. Nowadays, many products – including furniture – have become disposable items. At Bend Goods, we’re dedicated to make durable products, so we can help decrease the rate in which products are consumed. This allows us to fight the problem, rather than contributing to it. We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact and carbon footprint. We choose our manufacturers specifically for their liability, we use material that’s easily recyclable, and we designed our packaging to easily ship multiple products per box.
